Ponte Pietra - Pinot Grigio Rosato

These wines are made by Matt Thomson at the Cantina di Monteforte. Verona’s ‘Ponte Pietra’ (stone bridge) dates back to Roman times, although vines have been planted on the hills outside Verona for much longer than this bridge has spanned the Adige River.

The wines are fruit forward and expressive. The white is lifted and fresh with lovely balance on the palate, while the red is Veronese in style: zesty, fresh, cherryish and unoaked. The Rosato has an attractive pale pink colour drawn from a brief period of contact with the skins of the black grapes. These wines offer exceptional value for money.
